It had to happen. There is not one area of your life the nanny state does’nt want to control. Seriously if anyone comes knocking on my door wanting to pry into my eating habits I will tell them to f**k off. This is a form of invasion of privacy & it’s yet another total quango job from labour.
It’s currently just on trial in Wyre Forest in the Midlands where 8 food police err… ‘persons’ will visit about 24,500 homes to delve into the families eating habits & give advice. They get between £7.43 to £8.49 an hour with a bonus for working Saturdays.
Think about it, for this to go national it will cost us, the taxpayer a fortune! Lets say all of the 8 above earn the lower £7.43 wage, based on a 40 hour week. £7.43 X 40 = £297.20. £297.20 X 8 = £2377.60. £2377.60 X 52 weeks = £123,635.20 a year. It’s a public sector job so you know they will get paid holiday, thats why I based my calculation on 52 weeks.
Thats the extra burden on the tax payer just for this trial & doesn’t include the Saturday bonus. Just imagine the burden to the tax payer if it went national. It’s a total waste of money. The Labour Party Ponzi Scheme strikes again!
