Does this go under health & safety or PC gone mad? 73 year old John Payne had to show ID to buy a catapult in a fishing shop. You use it to fire bait / maggots into the water. He looks 73 but had to show ID as the store keeper said it could be used as a weapon if a teenager got their hand on it. I had a catapult as a young teenager. Does that mean I’m some kind of domestic terrorist?
Reminds me of a story I forgot to blog. Last week A father had to show ID in Tesco’s to purchase party poppers. Apparently they are classed as an explosive. Just how many party poppers do you need to make a bomb? Does this mean you can’t buy caps for a toy gun anymore? bloody nanny state…..
