I’ll be looking out for stealth tax stories too!
A GATSO speed camera was put on the M11 motorway southbound on the Essex – London border. Since then instead of reducing casalties they have almost doubled. Despite this the police say the camera is not a problem & will stay. Obviously that camera must make a lot of money!
The dredded bin tax is back in the news! I read in a newspaper that despite our poor excuse for a PM, Gordon Brown stating ‘pay as you throw’ taxes are shelved, the ‘pay as you throw’ bin tax is ready to go. For any non – Uk readers our tax grabbing labour government has been filling household wheelie bings with little computer chips that can tell the weight of rubbish in the bin. Waste collection is already covered by the council tax, even though many towns, including here in Reading, already only get the bins emptied every 2 weeks so of course they are always overflowing & extra smelly in the summer.
