So heres the latest government stealth tax to help fund the Labour Party Ponzi Scheme. Talk about kicking you when you’re down. A massive inflation busting rise of up to 233% in the fees incurred for debt recoverers.
Getting summoned to discuss your debt problem from £30 to £100.
The cost of permission to send in bailiffs from £35 to £100.
The cost of fee for court proceedings allowing you to be taken to court for failure to pay council tax from £90 to £250.
Don’t you just love being under a Labour government? I’m hovering on the edge of major problems myself. I’m not interested in the easy route of declaring bankruptcy. I’ve been paying off my debt for 5 years now. Having just received massive utility bills from npower of £350 for electric & £266 for gas I’m struggleing to pay my share of them as well as my debt commitments. I’ve been struggling to find work as a wall & floor tiler. None of the usual sources can supply me much work.
I thought the cost of living when I got back to the UK in 2004 was bad but now it’s becoming absolutely mental. We all have to make cut backs but this government is all spend, spend, spend with nothing in the kitty for a rainy day.
There can never be an end to ‘boom & bust’ as everything in nature moves in cycles. All the critical elements have arrived at the same time to ensure this is going to turn into a depression, not just a recession.
Well, look on the positive side! House prices might actually be affordable in a few years time! Of course, you still won’t have any money to buy one with because you’ve been out of work for so long. The government will claim all available properties for ‘social housing’ or council housing if you’re old enough to remember the term ‘council house’.
Now would be a good time to read my blog about the Labour Party ponzi scheme.
