So the UK home Secretary Jacqui Smith has been caught claiming expenses (your tax money) that are morally questionable at best. By lodging with her sister in London a few days a week she has been claiming MP’s second home allowance for her own home in Redditch, Worcs.
Just because the law doesn’t say it’s illegal doesn’t mean it’s right! And politicians wonder why no one trusts them. They are legal thieves, grabbing as much of the taxpayers money as they can. When politicians start acting like stand up people the public voters might believe an occasional word that come out of their over paid mouths.
Jacqui Smith was also one of 5 cabinet ministers who voted against tougher checks on MP’s expenses. I wonder why? The greedy cow did’nt want to lose her ability to gab as much of the tax payers hard earned cash as she can. She claimed more in expenses (£152,000) than her actual wage (£142,000) in 2006 – 2007.
You don’t seem to hear too much on this subject from the opposition parties because they are all probably sucking on the same ‘financial tit’ as the Home Secretary. You’ve got to love the political machine. It’s like we vote for the MP who we think is least likely to rip us off. Yes the Tories will suck at times but they will be far more efficient with your tax money than a Labour government ever will.
