Always be a dreamer! The real world will always beat down your ability to be a dreamer. Do you know what the difference between me & a rich person is? I’m a dreamer, I dream of a better world. I dream of a world where government DOES’NT give taxpayers money to charity / other countries as an aid package, just so the government can gain some political points.
Charity is charity. Not looked it up but charity support is about giving YOUR OWN money to charity. I’m starting to cringe when UK PM Gordon Brown (unelected by the people) gives millions of tax payers money away to foreign counties / charity.It should be used to offset the massive UK debt he’s given you. Think about this – he earns enough to be comfortable regardless of future tax levels. He got there by blowing your hard earned money. Easy come, easy go. It’s just so easy to give away money you did’nt personally earn isn’t it!
I’m a charitable person at heart & I DREAM BIG TIME! Hence my domain name. I believe in the ugly yet simple fact that charity must begin at home. You must look after yourself & your family (Debatable about friends – your choice!) first.
I don’t mean make them rich, just don’t leave them poor. Don’t buy your family either if they ask for more. True family won’t want to be sudden millionaires at your expence. Well, thats the trouble with money, theres the ‘haves’ & the ‘havenots’. For the record I’m currently a ‘havenot’ desperatly trying to find ways to pay off my debt with out being a wimp & declairing bancruptcy. I got myself into this mess, It’s my job to get out of it.
Of course I’d probably have more cash to get myself out of debt if I wasn’t helping to fund the benefits culture as well as funding the legal thieves known as politicians. Lets not forget Gordon giving multi millions of our tax money away. We never got credit for that. He just hoped that in the political field he did.
You must allow yourself to be a dreamer! Life can be really tough when you least expect it! Heres an example of a dreamer. Anyone involved with the movie industry. Especially the book authors & the script writers that turn the written word into a movie. If it wasn’t for a good script, a movie would never get off the ground & there would be no Oscar winners. This doesn’t mean some major ‘lemmings’ of a movie havn’t been released. So it went straight to DVD… Many people associated with the movie ‘straight to DVD’ market are probably still richer than me or you, & without the constant press coverage! They still have a private life! I just hope they apprieciate this fact.
Pay more attention to your Hollywood movies! Much of them are fantasy (nothing wrong with that if it inspires me). Some cover past events in real life, both good & bad. I have a soft spot for a lesser known Bruce Willis movie, Tears Of The Sun. It’s a brutal movie. It portrays what actually happens in Africa at times. It wasn’t a big hit because, well, we may just want to blot out the brutality happenning in other countries bcause it’s a big enough hassle trying to survive in our own western ‘first world’, let alone worry about the ‘third world’.
How much is enough? It’s why I came up with the name Aid Renegade, I wantd to be a dreamer, lets face it – I’ve always been a dreamer!. Life has humbled me, now more than ever. I’ve said this before in another blog somewhere. After 4 years of doing the right thing & paying my own way despite the excessive cost of living in the UK, as my tiling work dries up, I’m scared! I’m scared that after 4 years of trying to get out of debt I’ll run out of work & then still have to declair bancruptcy on the debts I’ve tried so hard to pay off.
Be a dreamer! Don’t stop dreaming! Be adaptable! Keep your pride as a human being. I say this because I know personally that it’s your own pride that goes first when you struggle to pay your own way in life. What I’ve been through? Well, I guess I wish it on the politicians I’m helping to fund. What can I say? I still believe in Karma & what goes around comes around. So OK, If I could help the bad guys karma come around, full circle, I would’nt lose any sleep over it right now!
These words are part of my own dreams. Be a dreamer, live your own dreams! More important is to remember that deep down you must’nt give up on your own dreams. Just keep being a dreamer! Dreams do come true if you believe in your own dreams. I’m working on that right now. I just won’t blog about it till I know my dreams are coming true.
