While looking at new twitter followers sites & blogs I came across a great post about ways to support charity online using social media sites. The 10 topics covered are:
Write a blog post, share stories with friends, follow charities on social networks, find volunteer opportunities, embed a widget on your site, organize a tweetup (meet up for you non twitterers), express yourself using video, sign a petition and organize an online event.
All topics are explained in the blog post, I’m not going to just ‘rip it’ & post in my own blog, even though it has been simultaneously posted on over 100 blogs. The info is a collaboration between the Mashable blogs ‘Summer Of Good’ and Max Gladwell’s ’10 ways series’.

The social media are very importent for global community to share information quicly. For example, 4 day ago, the is bomb in my country, Indonesia (Jakarta), at JW Marriot Hotel and Rizt Carlton Hotel, and the information is move fast with blogging or facebook.
Social media also help the moving of news in some country where the are strick control from the goverment
