Well for a start there’s the travel! I’d have to say its easier to tell you where I havn’t been than where I have been. I’d still like to visit Japan, South Africa, South America & China.
I had great fun in the carribean, In addition to beautiful hot sandy beaches I learn’t to SCUBA Dive, go on trips in small boats ‘island hopping’ for the day and enjoy the culture and food of the carribean islands!
I also got to travel around Europe. I’ve been to Russia, Copenhagen, Monte Carlo, in fact just too many ports of call to mention! It’s was all a life changing experience & I got to make lots of new friends and enjoy life to the fullest!

Hello,
My name is Radek. I leave in Poland. I’m interested in your job as a
Slot Technician. I worked in this position for 3 years for a company
Onboard Leisure on Irish Ferries. I have very good experience as a Slot
Technician. I was responsible for repair and maintenance of video and slot
machines. Exchange and clearance of money from the change machine.
I explained to passengers how to play on the machines and how to pay with
cash prize machines. I think that I am the right person for the position
of slot technician.
Regards
Radek
How to work on cruise ships
Hi mate,
thinking about doing the ships myself. Did a contract with Greater Atlantic in 2001 as a dealer, now have over 7 years experience with TCS John Huxley as tech support. Just a quick question; does it take a long time to become slot #2 and how does that scale work?
Regards,
Dan.

End Quote.
I’ve not worked as a slot tech on cruise ships since 2001 myself. If you’re not happy with your possible promotion prospects with your current employer then type up your CV / resume & send it to companies you would like to work for.
Check your earnings potential! I was head hunted by RCCL techs but quit after 5 and a half months of a 6 month first contract. I was promoted to #2 (of 3) tech status, transferred to a second & third ship but, despite claims of the commissions I’d earn, I still wasn’t earning equal to the flat slot mgr wage I was earning with NCL.
took 6 months off & called NCL (again) & got another contract with them. Like I said, build your CV! To me, Huxley = roulette wheels. It’s your time served with slot machines that counts. Those slots have come a long way since 2001. Hope to get a job as a tech, do the job well, learn the machines. Any (good)slots mgr will spot if you have built a good grasp of todays slot machines & recommend you for a promotion.
TIP! There’s no such thing as a stupid question if you don’t know the answer. Don’t be afraid to ask questions of a slot manager! Also join this forum to help you get help online to fix problems. This forum sure helped me when I went back to slot teching for 3 months at the start of 2010!
