Hello, its time to find the way forward for the human race. I’m David Elton, born in Reading, England in 1968 making me 38 now. From 1993 to 2002 I worked as a casino slot machine technician / slots manager in the cruise ship industry mostly with Norwegian Cruise Lines (N.C.L.). Working on cruise ships was the best move I ever made as I got to travel most of the world & experience many varied cultures & customs. The only places I haven’t seen are Africa, Japan & South America. A cruise ship is basically like a big tin can with up to about 50 different nationalities living together 24/7 for months at a time. Trust me, that teaches you tolerance of other cultures & race. this is something sadly lacking in the rest of the world today. I’m now working back here in England as a wall & floor tiler (Which sucks, I’d rather be an aid worker, but debts mean I have to earn the best I can to pay them off).
Let’s start with religion!
You’ve just got to love the vivid imagination of the human race! In history, 2000 years ago there was poor old Jesus. A nice guy at heart, he understood tolerance & sharing but couldn’t get the message into those dumb Romans. He couldn’t understand why those blooming Romans had to go around killing people when they just wanted to get on with their own lives. Welcome to that most basic of human instincts, attack & kill what you fear. He was the victim of this, the Romans saw him as a threat. In the centuries that followed the human race turned his story into that best seller the bible. Then guess what! Various countries in Europe start killing other people in his name! eg: the crusades & what happened to the Incas of South America. I bet Jesus would be turning in his grave watching what the human race has done in his & his ‘dad’s’ name. That Christian version of God was a smart bloke. What a marketing scoop! He gave us the Devil to blame everything bad that happens on, then sits back & take’s the credit for for everything else! I don’t know about you but I don’t have any respect for any God you have to get on your knees for. Now look at what the human race has done since. Turned it into various forms of the same religion to suit their own lifestyles. eg: King Henry the 8th needed a divorce & ‘hey presto’ the Protestant religion is born!
Here’s a free tip for all of you – BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!! you’ll start to see a lot more thing’s start going your way when you do! Praise yourself for what you do right but be prepared to take the blame for what you do wrong.
Roll on about 600 years & we have Mohamed. Another good guy trying to guide his people. Sure, he sacked Jerusalem but he had the decency & understanding to share the Church Of The Rock with the Christians. What a good guy! he understood tolerance & sharing, just like Jesus. Enter the rest of the human race. They start arguing then turn his idea into 2 forms & they start fighting too. No to the present day. Maybe it’s a simple case of ‘what goes around comes around’ but now, there’s another idiot attacking the rest of the world but there’s a problem. His weapons are far more deadly than in the crusades. This time I bet Mohamed is turning in his grave at what’s being done in his name.
See my tip above? Here’s a few more common sense guidelines for all of us to be better people.
1. Treat other people as you would like to be treated yourself, regardless of race or colour. My time on cruise ships taught me this.
2. Men & women ARE born equal, so why don’t we try growing up as equals for a change!
3. Don’t hit someone unless it’s in self defense. Eventually you’ll run into someone tougher than you. ( It’s that ‘what goes around comes around’ thing again )
4. Remember it’s O.K. to agree to disagree, no need to start a fight! If we all liked exactly the same things life would be boring!
5. Finally, the punishment must fit the crime. If not a persons idea of respect is not formed then ‘hey presto!’ you get the bad state that England is in today with murder & yob culture.
We, the human race have forgotten that we are all just members of the mammal family. We all still basically act like all other mammal’s except they didn’t invent religion then start killing each other over it. We fight over the stupidest things. We tell our selves how we are the most intelligent species on the planet, but many can’t evolve past religion. So what ever you do just don’t be a sheep. Start believing in yourself! For all you who lead a peaceful life & are religious, good for you! What ever works. I have religious friends. Sorry but too many people are doing bad things in the name of religion. This includes the Pope who still hasn’t condoned the use of condoms. This is literally causing the death of millions of people in South Africa. Answer me this! If Jesus lived in Jerusalem, why does the head of the Catholic church live in Rome? The source of the Romans that killed him? Simple! Catholic religion is just another form of the human race re writing religion to suit their life style! Did Jesus have as much wealth around him as the Pope?
The motto of this story is: don’t live by blind faith alone! Ask questions & draw your own conclusions on life! Discuss it with your friends. Weather you agree or disagree with me on religion is not important.
