I watched Andrea – Queen Of Mantas on the Eden channel a few days ago. It’s a great wildlife program, watch it if you get a chance. It’s a documentary about Andrea Marshall, who has devoted her life to the study of manta rays and giant mantas. The giant manta is a species of manta ray that she discovered a few years ago. She studies these majestic sea creatures off the coast of Tofu, Mozambique, Africa at the Foundation for the Protection of Marine Megafauna (FPMM). I love most programs related to diving / sea life / conservation, they do make me jealous of the fact that I hav’nt been able to afford to go diving in over a decade though. I should do something about that this year!
I’ve donated $50 (about £33) to adopt a manta, please show support if you can. If you cant afford the $50 to adopt then try logging into your paypal account and making a smaller donation to their ‘info’ and ‘paypal’ email address – that’s (info) ‘at’ (marinemegafauna.org). Every little helps, and lots of little micro donations still make up a big donation overall. Here’s their ‘support‘ page with all the donation options that they do list.
