This is about Starbucks coffee business ethics in regards to a request by British troops who requested some of their coffee while on duty in Afghanistan. This info came via a ‘email your friends’ style viral email campaign. Feel free to copy & paste this into an email to your friends.

We know some of us enjoy Starbucks, but this is totally beyond words……………….
Recently, British Royal Marines in Iraq wrote to Starbucks because they wanted to let them know how much they liked their coffees, and to request that they send some of it to the troops there.
Starbucks replied, telling the Royal Marines thank you for their support of their business, but that Starbucks does not support the war, nor anyone in it, and that they would not send the troops their brand of coffee.
So as not to offend Starbucks, maybe we should support them by NOT buying any of their products!
I feel we should get this out in the open. I know this war might not be very popular with some folks, but that doesn’t mean we don’t support the boys on the ground, fighting street-to-street and, house-to-house.
If you feel the same as I do then please pass this along.
Thanks very much for your support. I know you’ll all be there again to support us when we deploy once more.
Sgt. Howard Wright,
1st Platoon, Recon Company, Royal Marines

PLEASE BE KIND ENOUGH AND DON’T DELETE THIS… BUT PLEASE PASS TO EVERYONE ON YOUR E- MAIL LIST, IN MEMORY OF ALL THE TROOPS WHO HAVE BEEN WOUNDED, LOST LIMBS AND EVEN DIED, SO THAT WE MAY HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE !
Also, please don’t forget that when the Twin Trade Towers were hit, the fire fighters and rescue workers went to Starbucks because it was close by for water for the survivors and workers, and Starbucks ACTUALLY CHARGED THEM!!!
AN ADDED NOTE TO THIS: STARBUCKS HAD STORES ON SEVERAL MILITARY
BASES IN THE UNITED STATES. THEY ARE NOW BEING REMOVED BECAUSE OF THIS.
There are 227 Starbucks stores across the UK, and there’s no doubt that our soldiers would get the same response from this company, so let us do our bit and boycott Starbucks to show them how absolutely despicable their actions are !!

I guess this Starbucks business ethic affects US troops as well.

There are quite a few penny auction review / watch sites with forums. I’m just trying to pull all the latest blog based info to one site and link you to a selection of forums & info sources. This enables you to find out more about new penny auctions sites as new sites seem to launch almost every week. Hope the site helps!

I was a fan of the Dream On US TV sitcom 20 years ago when it first got broadcast on HBO. Why the hell hasn’t series 3 – 6 been released on DVD yet? I found Dream On to be intelligent yet very funny. I’ve not brought series 1 or 2 yet because I want to know I’ll be able to get to finally watch series 3 – 6! These are the ones I missed because 1993 is when I first started working on cruise ships.

Here’s a list of all the episodes.

I’ve started a twitter campaign to try to get the rest of the series released on DVD. follow me here:

http://twitter.com/dreamontvsitcom

Please follow & pass the word! This adult themed sitcom revolves around the character Martin Tupper, a New York book editor. It ran on HBO so it could gt away with the often adult themed stories! It often followed Martin Tupper’s dating efforts after the breakup of his marriage.

Update 15/08/2010 – Found series 1 & 2 cheap on Amazon. Had a major Dream On marathon yesterday & watched the lot!

So rise the silent peaceful majority. IS YOUR TIME NOW? Really! Why can’t we all just get along? I’ve recieved a link to a religious / political you tube vid from someone who really does’nt forward this kind of political stuff. This vid got me thinking in some contraversial ways, some I wasn’t proud of, being the ‘self proclaimed Aid Renegade’. So glad I chose no religion as my ‘religion’.

First up – I believe that despite religious differences, the ‘silent majority’ of the whole human race want to get along. I get the feeling that power trippers fight to get all the publicity, weather through TV / media or good old fashioned community / word of mouth, are influencing the whole human race’s future. By my definition, a power tripper is someone who quite simply wants to control his/her world. Want to be President, Prime minister or King / Queen? You’re a power tripper! Bin Ladin? Different kind of power tripper but still a power tripper & the pricks got the worlds attention and the Western World still can’t catch him. He’s not a martr, marter’s acually die for their cause. Bin Ladin hides but he creates religious martrs because he appears to be uncatchable.

Just makes me think that western world politics are happy to be illuded by him as it gives western politicians / military an excuse to spend more on war despite the fact that most of the western world is in debt & it’s getting worse.

Is this just a war of attricion? One side will run out of money (or people prepaired to loan more money) & the other side will claim it as a win. It won’t be a win for anyone, just world civil war, everyone for themselves & only those people fittest for the challenge of survival will win & I MEAN PEOPLE, regardless of race or religion, not any one race, religion or ethnic group.

Let’s be honest – we would all secretly like more control over our lives wouldn’t we? We all secretly dream of being richer so our day to day lives are more secure. I have respect for people that earn millions & donate to charity. Let’s face it though, they donate to charity because they earn more money than they need! Weather it be a million or just one pound, no one donates more than they can afford because most of us rely on money to get us through life.

….I know….. I’m already rambling from the opening subject….. stick with it….. I’m just trying to explain myself a bit as I go.

I don’t know enough about this subject but I’m gonna ramble on! In my every day life I’ve met / worked with people from many cultures. The vast majority of them never seemed to actually hate me. Yep, on my travels I’ve bargained for souveniers. Bargaining (bartering) transends money. Money was invented to make for more even trades. Maybe someone just decided that their pig was worth more than 3 bushels of corn on offer but the bloke didn’t think the pig was worth 4 bushels of corn.

So, ok, I did a ‘Robin Williams live thing’ & I went of on a tangent to the conversation. I’ll try to get back on track…

The outstanding point I got from this you tube vid is that Muslims will out breed us white english folk in our own country & theirfore take control of it. I’m sure a few years back I read that the black race in the USA is out breeding the white race. I DON’T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT YOUR RACE / RELIGION! It’s how you act towards me as a FELLOW HUMAN BEING on planet earth that gets my attention.

SO RISE THE SILENT PEACEFUL MAJORITY. Because if you don’t dangerous power tripper’s will f**k up your world if they’re not doing it already. You must act & report those that seek violence towards others because of race or religion. The western world has had its honeymoon on the planet. Other countries ripped of resources by western world controllers as now becoming more self reliant & in some cases more dominant. Let’s be fair on a world level. What goes around comes around. I think it’s a good thing that the Western world is no getting it’s ass kicked by the countries it use to take advantage of.

So to finish, I don’t have a problem because of their race, religion (or lack of). It’s how we act face to face that counts. I’m pretty tolerent too. Don’t push me too far, every mouse has it’s day. I’ll be ispired by the swave UK cartoon caracter ‘Danger Mouse’.

PS – Heres the you tube link that got me started:

How to donate your car to the Vietnam Veterans of America. In today’s tough economical climate it is becoming harder for the VVA to raise money to continue supporting Vietnam veterans. One way is by donating your car through their car donation website. You can also call toll free on 1-800-Help-Vets.

Weather you have an old car that doesn’t run any more or a newer car worth more you can donate your car in 50 states in the US. Car donation online is fast, secure & easy. The VVA is 501 (C) (19) US registered charity so your donation is also tax deductible, you receivea donation receipt for your car. You select a blue book value for your car up to $500. If sold for more than $500 you will get an IRS form 1098-C showing the sale value. Cars are normally picked up in 24 – 48 hours so this is a great way to create that extra space on your drive way.

In addition to cars you can also donate motor cycles, trailers, boats, RV’s, vans & property to the VVA.

Why choose the VVA car donation charities? Since 1978 the VVA has supported Vietnam veterans with access to quality health care, promoted a positive public view of veterans and advocated issues related to veterans. Also they have under taken accounting for soldiers missing in action and prisoners of war. they also support other veterans from various wars since, including the current gulf war. With over 40 years of experience in the unique field of veteran support they are needed as much now as in the 70′s so all donations are greatly appreciated.

That Italian has got away with it. ‘We was robbed guv’nor!’ Fabio Capello has pulled off the ultimate Italian Job on England. He set us up for the fall by getting us to the World Cup in style, giving us high expectations of the team. He then proceeded to miss manage the team to the best of his ability but OK, he got a lot of help from the passionless English players. Sack them all & look to the Championship to pick our next England team and get an English manager too.

I won’t be surprised if Fabio’s got a contract with a major League Italian team within a few months, he just needed to get fired to be available for the job. I guess some Italians swing both ways in allegiance. OOPPSS! - Don’t mention the war…….

General Stanley McChrystal paid the ultimate price for standing up to politicians that were the reason he was in a war. He spoke his mind. If I were a frontline soldier I’d like to have a general in charge who has the soldier’s welfare in mind, not a political agenda that started out as a fight over oil but morphed into the war on terror as we now know it when no weapons of mass destruction were found.

What is it about politicians? Do they really just consciously or unconsciously treat the armed forces as pawns in a chess game? War is not a game! People die under the belief they are fighting for the freedom of us civilians. Their name is in the national press for a day or two & then they are slowly forgotten, just another number in a current death toll. That death count in Afghanistan is currently about a 1000 for the US & 300 for the UK. The UK population is a lot smaller than the US population so the 300 deaths as a percentage of the UK population must be way higher than the US death toll as a percentage of the population.

But what about the rest? I don’t mean the armed forces still able to fight, I mean the wounded. The total US wounded is closing in on 14,000 according to one website . Injuries vary but for many their injuries will affect / detract from their quality of life for the rest of their lives. According to this website UK wounded may now be over 3300.

Ever notice how the dead are honoured, many times publically, as an addition to the death toll but world politics is really carefull to avoid wounded figures? I guess 300 sounds better in political soundbites on war than 3300 for the UK, or 1000 sounds better in political soundbites than 14,000 for the USA.

This war, is it worth it? I don’t think so. The terrorists will play a waiting game. The western world is in debt already. We can’t afford this war. It’s an unwinnable war. Of course one argument for it is that those brave soldiers didn’t die for nothing. Well, what about this older saying: ‘sometimes you lose a battle to win the war’. How about ‘lose the war to win the world’.

Trouble is we are all mammals at heart, finding out our own place in the pecking order of life. We are all still a bit tribal. Just don’t blindly follow your leader with out being prepaired to ask why sometimes, it may just cost you your life. don’t get me wrong here, I’ve the greatest respect for our troops, especially when you bear in mind how little they get paid for the risks they may take as part of their job. The armed forces need more people like General Stanley McCrystal looking out for their well being.

In the UK you can donate to Help For Heroes to help the wounded recover.

I don’t know anything about any US based charities that may do a simular thing to Help For Heroes, but I did find this link rating the charities in 2007.

The budget response by the shadow chancellor (Labour) was noticeably seen on ITV Meridan this evening. Glad to see they don’t run the BBC anymore! hell, that Labour party is still in denial of the fact their ideals brought this country to the brink of the biggest recession in recent history thanks to their passion of taking the UK public for granted & treating that same public as ‘cash cows’ to fund the Labour Party Ponzi Scheme.

for the sake of the UK people please give it up shadow chancellor Darling. We are in this mess because your (thankfully) ex (unelected) leader / previous chancellor Gordon Brown, while chancellor under Tony Blair (don’t get me started on him) willfully treated the tax paying public including the public sector of business as a cash cow to buy the vote. Labour hoped a combination of enough immigrants thankful for a new life in the UK plus an ever growing number of idle ‘let’s live of the state’ benefit claimants would be enough to keep them in power.

To the deputy leader of the Labour Party, go watch some porn with your husband (not at the tax payers expense). You had your chance and ultimately you lost power & good riddance too. Now just shut up for a month or two until you have a new elected leader & let the current coalition government get on with the tough job of clearing up the mess the Labour Party Ponzi Scheme left behind.

Note to socialist US Presedent Obama. I’m happy you got elected but don’t let the current US government imitate our old labour one. You will mess up the US economy & then the half of the rest of the world’s economies will collapse as a knock on effect.

At last! Now we’ve got a Conservative government in charge some posts will be about reducing government spending. Just watched the UK emergencybeing announced on the BBC from chancellor George Osbourne. Most surprising was that VAT won’t be raised till next year. I think maybe it should have gone up 1% as this national deficit has got to be lowered s fast as possible. At least he didn’t raise tax on alcohol, petrol / diesel or cigarettes, usually seen as cash cows to previous governments.

Provisions to ‘police’ the UK banking system & source extra tax revenue from them were good news, as was a policy to means test benefit claimants. This is all part of a budget to decrease the deficit through cuts in government (over) spending rather than just hit us with more tax. He stated that the state is responsible for over half the UK’s national income & that this is not sustainable. Well I had previously likened the Labour government to people running a Labour Ponzi scheme but I didn’t think it was as bad as that.

Good news: Public sector pay freeze for 2 years. Total welfare savings of £11 billion. Bank levy from Jan 2011 to raise £2 billion a year. VAT not rising to 20% till Jan 2011. Capital gains tax only rising to 28% for top earners only and will remain at 18% for low – middle income earners like me & most of you.

So it was tough but fair as far as I’m concerned, being a low earner. Info sourced from hereif you want to read all the technical stuff such as predicted inflation & deficit reduction.

My friend asked me how to find some unique custom wheels & tyres that no one else is to likely to on their car. Hmm…. Not my area of expertise so I looked to the internet to do some research after asking him about any ideas on what kind of custom wheels he wanted. My answer was ‘something no one else has got’. I knew I had to keep the options open.

With most wheels being chrome or bare alloys I suggested something brighter & started searching. The most striking selection of rims was found at CarID. With over 30 makes of wheel rims on offer my friend was in heaven! So far he’s narrowed his choice down to some Hypnotic, GFG or Asanti wheels.

So job done! Aid Renegade to the rescue again. Of course now he can’t make his mind up on which rims to finally get. ‘Your car, your decision!’ was what I told him.

Chances are that if you’re in the construction trade there is valuable scrap copper in your life! Don’t just chuck it in the skip, scrap copper prices are at their highest for years. Plumbers & electricians, keep your scrap copper piping & cabling, it soon mounts up to a nice little monthly bonus for you. The copper in the cabling is worth more if you strip it out your self.

That said many people still bin their scrap copper, I guess they earn enough as it is! That’s where you can profit. When you see a skip ask the owner of the property if you can rummage through the skip looking for scrap. Don’t just trespass & take anything, that’s stealing. If the skip is on a building site you will probably have to be correctly dressed with a high visibility jacket, sturdy boots & possibly even a hard hat to enter the site.

When you’ve got a bucket full or two, get online & track down your local scrap merchant / scrap recycling center. Congratulations! You’ve just made some more money to help you survive the recession.

Update 9th July 2010: Not heard back from any of the sites I bid for on Link From Blog or Sponsored Reviews except 1 (out of 17) for $5. Bid’s were not even shown as rejected which means the people offering the paid posts are not even checking these sites. A waste of time but hey, still made $5!

I’m looking into some websites that connect advertisers with bloggers interested in writing sponsored articles or reviews about products, web related & other. One site I’m looking at is Link From Blog. Unlike the competition they don’t take commissions from bloggers bids, they make their money from the advertisers fees only, excellent! It’s a relatively new site so there’s not too much competition yet. Get signed up & start building a reputation for good blogging, while earning money for it.

Is it really possible to make some extra cash just by blogging? Well, over the next few weeks I’m going to find out! Don’t think you can get paid for every post you blog though, you must keep up with your own blog posts too as most sites need to to post 1 sponsored post to every 2 or 3 of your own posts. Good job this is my personal / general blog where I can blog about anythink I want! Have you got any experience with sponsored blog posting? If so please leave a comment.

Another dismal England performance in the 2010 World Cup. Get Heskey off & play Joe Cole! Also give Crouch more than 6 minutes to do something, I mean really! What the hell can he do in just 6 minutes if the team cant get the ball to him?

Get Cole on, get Crouch on, leave Rooney on too. Joe Cole can add the missing sparks to the team to get some results (and goals). Just think of his World Cup 2006 wonder goal. Cole can supply some creativity that is sadly missing from the team so far.

Join the ‘Play Joe Cole’ campaigns on both twitter and facebook. Add links to video proof of what Cole can do, both goals and assists (setting up the goal)

Play Joe Cole (twitter)

Play Joe Cole, Capello (facebook)

So come on Capello! Play Joe Cole! Right now it looks like you’ve lost the plot, or have you been given a deal to make England look / play bad? After all, your actions in the final run up to the 2010 World Cup were not those of a manager comitted to the team.

England can top our group by winning tonight. This leave’s us (England) looking good to make it through to the quarter finals. So next I’ll be pouring myself a glass of wine (or two) to toast to England’s success tonight. I’m guessing a 3 – 1 win, by England of course!

An Obituary printed in the London Times – Interesting and sadly rather true.

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
- Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
- Why the early bird gets the worm;
- Life isn’t always fair;
- and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don’t spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn’t defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason.

He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers;
I Know My Rights
I Want It Now
Someone Else Is To Blame
I’m A Victim

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.

I’m amazed that BP have not been able to stop the flow of escaping oil yet. I’m even more amazed that they were not really prepared with a decent solution incase the ‘unthinkable’ actually happened, which of course it has.

To cap the flow of the escaping oil you first need to diffuse the power of the oil stream escaping. do this by dropping concrete blocks over the escaping oil such as the xbloc.

By piling these on top of the spill the flow should be stemmed enough for smaller bridging materials & concrete to stem the flow.

By tethering a cable to the sea bed floor next to the spill as a guide these blocks could be dropped into place without any missing the target. Assuming the blocks will sink fast as they are heavy you could fit underwater parachutes to each one to slow it’s decent down. The cable tether is simply a guide to drop to the target. The cable should have some slack as it should be able to bend & fold to form part of the cap as more blocks are dropped. They don’t have to be placed interlocking as the concrete & bridging material will do that. It might be prudent to some how place a pipe so that that the concrete & bridging material can be pumped to the centre of the base of the block pile so that the bridging material & concrete are able to plug the gaps that exist.

Maybe an array of different sized xblocs should be used to help reduce gaps between the larger ones, aiding in the ability of the conrete to completely plug the escaping oil. The relief valves being drilled at present should reduce pressure to this xbloc cap to help ensure it doesn’t start leaking oil again. On going monitoring of the cap should ensure this.

The cap might look something like this:

xbloc capping

Now picture this with concrete pumped to the center located over the escaping oil. The concrete & bridging material should surely be enough to cap the escaping oil.

I decided to blog this idea as the www.deepwaterhorizonsrespose.com website is having problems loading pages.

No, I don’t work for xbloc if anyone was thinking that! xbloc are located in the Netherlands. Maybe there is a maker of a simular style product closer to the problem in the USA or Gulf area. This is just an idea, please feel free to pick holes in it to make it more feasible as a solution to the problem.

Update 18th June 2010.

Still this well is leaking. Are BP engineers really that useless? I think BP are prepaired to lose XXXX amount of oil to kill the enviroment just so long as they can catch some of it to sell. I think this is the reason they havn’t done what ever is required to stop this terrible eco disaster. Why? Because they know the other relief wells being drilled won’t be in use till August. This is a disgusting business ethic, BP. I just don’t believe it is impossible to stop the oil.

But thats just my personal view…

I’m looking for someone in the Reading, Berkshire, Uk area prepaired to help me improve my LCD & CRT monitor repair skills. I’ll work for free 5 hours a week to help you out as it will give me valuable experience. I’ll be buying an ESR tester as soon as I get back to the UK.

Welcome to my blog. I’m currently a casino slot technician & want to improve my fault finding skills to component level in repair slot machine boards in general but especially on CRT & LCD monitors. I have to fly home to the UK from the Carribean on April 15th 2010 due to a medical issue. I’ll be going back to my old job as a wall & floor tiler to pay the bills as my tiling equipment is in storage while I get this issue resolved.

If anyone is prepaired to help me in return for some free labour to improve my CRT / LCD monitor screen repair skills while I’m in Reading, UK it would be much appreciated! Casino slots have evolved a lot in the last 10 years & I’m a bit lacking in the LCD / CRT monitor board repair area of my job. I know most faults are related to bad capacitors & want to learn how to use an ESR tester to best effect.

All comments appreciated in regards to this post. I want to enhance my CV to help ensure more employment in the casino’s of the Carribean.

Well I’ve been living in Tobago for a month now but hav’nt done any sight seeing or tourist stuff apart from some late nights in bars after long days at work. I should finally get a better rota next week so I’ll try to get out a bit more. I need to buy a camera though. I don’t have a camera on my cheap mobile.

It’s definately different down here. Actually I’m starting to use that phrase a lot. Life just moves a lot slower here. Straight out of the hectic pace of the UK this can be frustrating from a work point of view. Socially it’s not a problem though!

I’ve already been to a fancy dress party. With hardly any clothes to use I went in jeans & t-shirt but brought a plastic sword & a couple of water pistols. I was told the theme was ethnic so I went as a Somali boat pirate!

Current rough guide to the exchange rate here is £1 gets you almost $10TT (Trinidad & Tobago dollar). $1 US gets you about $6TT. It’s easy to convert your foreign cash to TT but bloody hard to convert TT to USD if you don’t yet have a bank account! My advice is don’t convert more cash to TT than you need for a couple of days holiday at a time.

I found this satelite photo of Tobago. Click on the picture to view the zoomable image.

Satelite image courtesy of My Tobago.info A great blog to find out more about Tobago.

Well I’m off all tomorrow. I’m sure I’ll be ‘liming’, the local term for socializing with alcohol involved. You can be liming a lot, but hey, it really is different down here. See you in the Crown Point Hotel bar & the Royalton casino, where I’ve been hanging out!

There’s a new sex position in the Karma Sutra called “The Plumber”. Both of you stay in all day, and no fucker cums.

There’s a new craze in Camborne pubs. Girls are putting vodka jelly up their snatches and having blokes suck it out with straws. Police and health authorities are now worried about the effects of Minge drinking.

SKY SPORTS BREAKING NEWS:! ! ! It has been announced that next year’s shirt sponsor for TIGER WOODS will be Tampax. A spokesman for Tampax said “To sponsor a Twat going through a bad period is exactly what our company is all about.”

Just bought a cool game for the PS3, it’s about a black guy who drives round shagging whores, uses violence involving metal clubs, crashes his car & evades the police- it’s called Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09.

Best Headache Joke Ever – A husband emerged from the bathroom naked & was climbing into bed when his wife complained, as usual, “I’ve a headache!” “Perfect,” her husband said. “I was just in the bathroom powdering my penis with crushed aspirin. You can take it orally, or as a suppository, it’s up to you.

Two Asian brothers have been killed when they fell through a frozen pond in Birmingham. ITV are to make a documentary on the third brother who survived the ordeal. Dan Singh on ice will be screened in the spring…

Just heard Jonathan Ross is leaving the BBC. Was wondering what you and your four mates are going to do with the piano?

The ginger woman at my work recently announced that she was pregnant by the black boyfriend, she was discussing baby names the other day, apparently ‘Terry the Chocolate Orange’ is not an appropriate name and enough to get me the sack!

5000 men surveyed were asked why they like blowjobs.

1 % liked warmth.
2 % liked sensation.
3 % liked eroticism.
94 % just liked the peace and quiet.

I was having great sex today when just as we got towards the climax my wife completely ruined the moment and said those words that just fills a man’s heart with fear dread & panic…. ! !”hi Honey I’m home”..

Did u see Paul McCartney the other night on X Factor playing the piano…? Nice to see him fingering something with legs for a change !!

Susan Boyle has a photo shoot tomorrow for her new album. Simon Cowell wishes to improve her image by surrounding her with proper ugly bastards. The bus will pick you up at nine, try not to miss it there’s a tenner in it for you.

I bought a DVD the other day called ‘My Favourite 18 Holes’ by Tiger Woods. What a waste of money. It was all about golf. Apparently Tiger Woods and his wife were simply having a disagreement over a game of cards. And, as it turns out, a club does beat a spade.

I thought I was relatively up top date on my blog comments. Signed in today & realised I wasn’t. Then, the more I read, I realised for some reason I was seeing comments from the past. I relpied to one comment but I don’t think it shows to the person that posted it. How bad am I? Right now I think the few people that have read my blog might possibly think I’m an idiot.

Deal with it! I’ve got my own demons, mostly UK financial (Debts basically) that I’m trying to deal with. Well…. somewhere on this blog I have stated ‘charity begins at home’. You’ve just got to pay your own way in life before you can help others (financially talking – I mean donate to charity)

Good news! I’m off to a new job in January. I’ll be living in Trinidad & Tobago in the Carribean. By cutting the excessive cost of living in the Uk I can actually get out of debt a little faster despite the exchange rate to the UK £. Of course the better weather & scenery will help too!

Please give me acouple of months to settle in to my new job. Hopefully by then I’ll something more interesting to blog about!

When I signed in for the first time in a month today I saw requests for advice but I also realised some comments were old news. I replied to one comment & pressed ‘apply’ but just not sure if my reply is public right now.

Well, I never claimed to be perfect. A lot of the opposite in fact!

All the best!

1. Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow.. Do not walk beside me for the path is narrow. In fact, just piss off and leave me alone.

2. Sex is like air. It’s not that important unless you aren’t getting any.

3. No one is listening until you fart..

4. Always remember you’re unique. Just like everyone else.

5. Never test the depth of the water with both feet.

6. If you think nobody cares whether you’re alive or dead, try missing a couple of mortgage payments.

7. Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you’re a mile away and you have their shoes.

8. If at first you don’t succeed, skydiving is not for you.

9. Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

10. If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably well worth it.

11. If you tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything.

12. Some days you are the bug; some days you are the windshield.

13. Don’t worry; it only seems kinky the first time.

14. Good judgment comes from bad experience … And most of that comes from bad judgment.

15. A closed mouth gathers no foot.

16. There are two excellent theories for arguing with women. Neither one works.

17. Generally speaking, you aren’t learning much when your lips are moving.

18. Experience is something you don’t get until just after you need it.

19. We are born naked, wet and hungry, and get slapped on our ass … Then things just keep getting worse.

20. Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

A nice, calm and respectable lady went into the pharmacy, walked up to the pharmacist, looked straight into his eyes, and said, “I would like to buy some cyanide.”

The pharmacist asked, “Why in the world do you need cyanide?”

The lady replied, “I need it to poison my husband.”

The pharmacist’s eyes got big and he exclaimed, “Lord have mercy! I can’t give you cyanide to kill your husband. That’s against the law! I’ll lose my license! They’ll throw both of us in jail! All kinds of bad things will happen. Absolutely not! You CANNOT have any cyanide!”

The lady reached into her purse and pulled out a picture of her husband in bed with the pharmacist’s wife.

The pharmacist looked at the picture and replied, “Well now, that’s different. You didn’t tell me you had a prescription!”

Call it ‘dry irony’ or something, I thought it was funny but then I just don’t think like most people do I?

Yep, I know…. This is the point when I use my Amazon links to link to a DVD, FINALLY available in the Uk. Just not gonna do it. Besides, I’ve not made a penny from any of my Amazon links so far. I guess its up to you! Why don’t you use my Amazon links to see if this U2 DVD is available!

U2 ZOO Live from Sydney (Been to Sydney on my travels)

One bad thing about working on cruise ships during the ’90′s is that I never got to see big, well known bands live. Luckly, in the USA I was able to buy the video of U2 live in Sydney, Austrailia when they performed what I think was one of the best U2 live performances ever. It was a total f**king awe-inspiring show. I’ve always been ‘pissed’ that I could’nt find it on DVD here in the UK since I got back in 2004.

I spotted it in HMV 2 weeks ago but didn’t have the money. Works been good this month, really starting to think I can get a grip on my debts once again. Today I brought the DVD. First, good news! Unlike a Pink Floyd DVD, Pulse, that I also oroginally brought in the US, but was split between 2 DVD’s in the pack for UK release, Zoo is all on one DVD – the concert in it’s greatness fron start to finish!

Note to Pink Floyd DVD UK management. Pink Floyds music is all about chilling out. Why the f**k do you make me choose between the first half of their concert or the second? I mean I have to get up & put in the second DVD! I owned Pulse on DVD in the US. It was as it should be! All on one disc. Shame on you for for not releasing it on one disc in Pink Floyds home country!

So, ok, now I’ve got that off my chest back too Zoo! – So many personal fond memories! Hell! I got laid back in the early 90′s to Actung Baby. It was the girl that supplied the music in her house & well, it was fun! In an ever more complicated world only love will save you! John Lennon said it right in his song ‘Imagine’ (Seriously, google it!) Pay attention to the Lyrics.

Not being able to catch U2′s Zoo TV or POP tours means I’ve always been jealous that I’ve missed out on a great experience. If memory serves me my Zoo TV video was jumping with faults because I played it soo much! I hope my UK DVD version lasts longer. I last saw U2 live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in about 2002, maybe 2003. They had got back to basics in their live show as they are today. I’d seriously think about paying out an extortionate amount of money if I could get tickets today to see U2 reprise Zoo TV as an awe inspiring live concert! ….& I’ve only got the DVD to go on…. At least I can now see Zoo TV live any time I want too!

Bring back the Zoo TV tour U2! It was awesome! Bono, just think what your charity ego could acomplish with the money. Plus, your new generaton of U2 fans could apprieciate the original artistic form of , how through Zoo Tv, you passed a message on. I got the message through the video even if no one world wide got it through the passion that is a live performance.
PS – hope my spellings better on this ‘drunk dreaming’ trip!

Yep, I may well regret what I blog while pissed but this is my blog. It’s a part of my life. I spend part of my life pissed to escape the reality of my real life for a while. Hell! Everyone needs a holiday! My drunk dreaming is my break & it’s eco friendly! No aviation fuel involved. not any diesel for my old R reg Ford Escort Estate either! ( It’s a UK/English thing if your not from the UK).

Overall I’m impressed at my drunk blogging. Please feel free to drop a comment & correct my grammar! Doesn’t mean I’ll edit the original post, just means I’m humble enough to to recognise my faults when pointed out.

Really getting into other songs on th 4 Non Blondes Album in addition to their only hit ‘Whats Up’. Look the album up through my Amazon shopping pages!

(Note to self: Read last nights ‘Drunk dreaming pt 2 blog post! Think I may have used the ‘F’ word in that post & that I must edit!)

This just happened! Yes I’m drunk dreaming again! Does that make this the unofficial ‘drunk dreaming part 3? While surfing the music channels I stopped on a song from Pink. I like Pink, she’s a self empowered woman & I like that in a woman – confidence! Me & Pink? OK! As if! Just never gonna happen but I can dream!

So OK, went offf on a bit of a ‘Robin Williams live’ tangent there. Pink is a big fan of 4 Non Blondes & guess what- so am I. I knew I brought their ’4 Non blondes’ album. Get this! Just 2 songs after Pink the 4 non Blondes classic ‘Whats Up’ video played as well. I spurred me on to dig the 4 Non Blondes album out of my travel Case Logic err… cases.

Get this! I couldn’t even find the CD case insert for the album, let alone the CD album itself. I dragged the last ’50 CD’ case logig case off the shelf & a lone CD fell onto the shelf. Seriously! It was the very album, 4 Non Blondes, that I was looking for! I checked all through my last Case Logic err… well case. No CD insert but more important I’ve got the album on CD in my hand! Just hope I can still play it! Assume no update means the album plays just fine!

Seriously! Just what are the odds of an album you’ve had for years just falling onto your shelf when you think you’ve already lost it! now its time to sign off & play the album. I’m already pissed that it’s not a live video. Call me yer typical dumb male at heart but I prefer playing ‘live in concert’ videos than albums. Hell, last night I dug out Gary Moore’s album ‘still got the blues’.

UPDATE: A couple of hours later after enjoying playing the album! Info on Wilkipedia on 4 Non Blondes. Wow! To paraphrase Mike Myers in ‘Waynes World’, Linda can wail! (Possibly better than Cassandra!)

So ok, it’s another Saturday night & I’m drunk dreaming again. In my drunk state I’m actually looking for, welll, a reason to be sober. Obviously I havn’t found that reason yet in my life. I guess I need help on that one. All I know is my heart is in the right place. Guess I’m just majorly strugglling to turn my dreams into action right now.

That must resonate with someone on this planet! I’m a dreamer at heart. In the words of the late great John Lennon, Live your dreams! I’m still figuring out how to live my own dreams. Just like your life itself, my own life is a work in progress.

I guess I got bored of ‘politically correct’ stories etc. Don’t think for a second that PC gone mad & health & saftey gone mad doesn’t piss me off big time! I guess I’ve just become a bit ‘numb’ to it.

Best tip I can give from my little – read blog is this. Always dream of a better life! Just because I hav’nt figured out an answer doesn’t mean you can’t! Life is a team effort! If you too have a conscience then please post a reply to this post! This is the true power of the internet!

WHEN COMMUNICATION FAILS IN THE HUMAN RACE PEOPLE START DYING.

THE INNOCENT ‘little people’ die first. PEOPLE LIKE YOU & ME!

Chartity is the new power of us little people. By giving, either though your own actions as a good person. I don’t have the extra cash to donate to charity. I’m too busy trying to pay my own way in life. My debts have all gone to S**T in the last 3 months.

Hell, I’ve called my creditors but one, MINT I think, just won’t stop the annoying automatesd calls because, despite the fact that I actually called them, they won’t stop the calls because I could’nt make a token / good faith payment. While explaining this to the Mint representive on the phone over a week ago there was a sudden ‘ loss of signal’. Personally I think the Mint rep just hung up because she could’nt answer my question.

I’ve called you. I’ve communicated my current financial situation to you. By default, as far as I’m concerned, I’m in communication with you. Apparently this is just not good enough! I was told that the annoying 3 – 5 times a day automated calls to my mobile & home phone cannot be stopped because I just don’t have enough cash to make a token payment. Quite simply, F**K YOU! Please use this blog post in your case against me. I’m just trying to survive in the western world / UK. I’v spent 5 years trying to ‘do the right thing’ & pay off my debt.

I’m REALLY F**KING PISSED AT THE LACK OF TOLERANCE MY CREDITORS NOW SHOW ME AFTER 5 YEARS OF A PERSONAL FINANCIAL HELL TRYING TO GET OUT OF DEBT.

IT’S BEEN 5 YEARS NOW. IN HINDSIGHT, I WISH I’D JUST DECLAIRED BANCRUPTCY IN 2004. I’f I had, I might finally be able to get on with my life.

Doing the right thing, as per my concience, has really worn thin. I’m seriously thinking of final ‘f**k you creditors’ by declairing bancruptcy. Of course here in the UK this action will f**k up your credit history for about 6 years. 5 years in & seriously struggling to pay off my debt (do the right thing)…. I think I would have been better off declairing bancrupcy! At least then I could have spent the last 4 years saving up a deposit for a house! Despite my bad credit history I would have still had a big deposit for a new home!

Right now my good guy conscience is really being tested! Afterall virtually every mother fu****g politician has milked your own UK tax contributions for all their worth.

I’m so glad I’ve been out of the country & tax exempt while I was abroad. Unfortunately most UK based couples that went on to get married & have children don’t have the option of moving abroad, because they were never able to save enough due to the high cost of living, to move abroad & look for a better life for their family.

Tip….. Don’t vote Labour. I use to say vote Tory, the best alternative. After the recent expenses scandal, I’m more inclined the vote for a minority party (NEVER BNP!) because the 2 main UK parties are full of corruption. They’ve been milking the the ‘financial cow’ as part of their job description. What’s the unamious UK politicians defence claim? ” I did’nt break any rules’.

There’s no concience in UK potitics any more. Trust is earned. I’m not convinced any UK (so called) political leader has got the balls to keep it simple & make the law stand for something from the lowest level.

IT’S F**KING SIMPLE you poor excuse for current politicians!

THE PUNISHMENT FOR A CRIME MUST BE A MAJOR DETERRENT! If not, (world beware) we have the namby pambly ‘soft touch’ feeling to what the law does, as here in the UK.

UK Human Rights laws (great idea but in it’s current form the biggest LABOUR f**kup as it is more benificial to the bad guy)

If there is no real deterrant then there is no real law. Come be a tourist & visit England! Lose the life of a loved one to crime & then really get pissed off at the stupdly short sentence they get! Next, go public in your home country (PLEEAASSE!) & take your tourist dollars to another country!

I probably hav’nt spelt this right (I am drunk again!) but does Lockerbie ring a bell!

Scotland is still a part of the UK. By default a Scottish err… English prime minister (Capital ‘p’ & ‘m’ left out because the current unelected pm doesn’t deserve the credit)

Is this a secret Scottish / pollital takeover? No I think not. But I’ve met everyday Scottish people on my cruise ship travels. Maybe some of them think their own fledgling government sucks too.

I have lots of respect for the Scottish (& other Celts) You & England have a common problem! Politicians without any real ‘balls’ to to the right thing.

I’m bored of this subject for now & I’m hungry too! Any comments are aprieciated! Comments = Communication! All views will be posted & so OK, I swore in this blog so fairs fair, you can swear in you comments I guess…..

Update 26th Sept ’09. Sorry for the swearing! Just being passionate. Certain letters were deleted & replaced with ‘*’. You’ll get the idea of my point of view.

So ok, I’m drunk & waitng for my pizza to cook because in my drunk state I realised I’m hungry! Dam it! My drunk mind has lost the plot on the topic of this blog! It will come back to me……

Or maybe not….. At least the alcohol is doing it’s job! The shit state of my life has escaped my mind for now. Must not let my pizza burn in the oven this time!

In my drunk mind I’m still the good guy – my alter ego – the aid renegade. I wish someone had invented a ‘mind recorder’. Hell, even the Beatle’s did a little drug abuse at some point! I’m a big fan of John Lennon. No, I don’t own CD’s of his. Bear with me! Just switched of the cooker so I don’t let my pizza burn while I type this blog! Now I’m going hunting for a christmas prezzie from a past friend to get the words right. (Thanks Jupiters ‘mom’)

I leave this prezzie rolled up in a cubbard because right now I just can’t afford to get it mounted into a frame that I can hang on the wall for inspiration. These words deserve so much more than blu tac to pin it on my rooms wall!

Imagine their’s no countries,
It isn’t hard to do, nothing to kill or die for and no religion too,
Imagine all the people,
living life in peace, you may say that I’m a dreamer,
but I’m not the only one.
I hope someday you’ll join us,
AND THE WORLD WILL LIVE AS ONE.

Please note: No tacky links to Amazon / John Lennon here! It’s the words that are most important! PEACE!

I believe in the theory that ‘what goes around comes around’. Unlucky in life, I wonder all the time where is my life going? It’s like my life has been in limbo fo 5 or 6 years now. I’m posting this on my blog despite the fact that I have a job interview next week for a service engineers position, something I’ve done for most of my life but not in the last 7 years. Sure I dream of getting this job but lets face it, I’ve been ‘out of the loop’ as a service engineer for quite a while now.

At least my CV / resumae got me the interview! I read in the papers how many people apply for lots of jobs & never hear back. I’m assuming I won’t get this job. At least it should give me 21st century experience of a job interview! I need some security in my personel financial world. I’m just not getting that as a self employed tiler anymore. If the company holding the interview checks out my name online I hope they read this! Who know’s….Maybe the’ve ‘googled’ my name already – many companies do.

So OK, I’m rambling…. I’ll try to remember the original reason for starting this blog post before I finally post it! (Yes, I know. I use the ‘exclamation mark, !, a lot at times)

Go John Lennon! One of the simplest song’s you ever wrote had the most important message in the world and you wrote it over 30 years ago.

OK, I give up! Dam the alcohol. It’s a double – edged sword of the mind. I can’t remember the original reason for starting this post. What the hell! It’s Saturday night. I’ll enjoy myself, even if only in my own mind because I’m drunk. Every day life has really sucked for a long time now. Consider my alcohol powered holidays into my dreamers world a little light relief from the pressures of every life, 5 or 6 hous at at a time.
