I’ve built a homemade propagator as my greenhouse build is taking longer than expected. With the brassica seeds I planted straight in the ground having never germinated I’m hoping I can still grow a late crop of sprouts, broccoli and some cabbage. I built the frame out of OCB off cuts and used an old sheet of clear twin wall polycarbonate for the lid.
In just one week the onions on the left have started to grow and the first of the barassica seeds have started to germinate.
I’ve also brought a couple of little poly tunnels to protect them from birds when ready to plant out. I’m just hoping I haven’t left it too late in the year to start them off.
