Looks like Reading finally has an airgun club again! This club has only been up and running a few weeks so I’ve just signed up to join. Even better, looks like they may offer archery as well. That means that both my Hatsan Dominator air rifle and my recurve bow should get the dust blown off them this summer. I’m currently waiting to be contacted by email after the sign up process. Using my airgun has always been a bit of a problem as I live next to a school so I was always trying to time my airgun practice with when the school was closed, the weather was ok and I wasn’t working. It got to the point that my airgun just stayed in the case…
Here’s a link to the Reading Target Shooting.org website, official name of the new Reading airgun club. I’ll update this post with more info about the club when I have it. Look’s like you buy allocated time slots on the club’s airgun ranges so you just pay for when you’re shooting. I only found out about this new airgun club when I asked at a local gunsmith. I had gone their to buy a new airgun, actually a cheap Beeman P17 air pistol, something low powered I could use in the garden. As it happens the airgun in stock had a problem so I’m waiting a few days while they order in another one. Meanwhile heres my Hatsan:
It’s had barely 100 pellets through it since I brought the airgun last October. It’s getting some more pellets through it next!
Air gun club update 15/7/15: Not received any kind of conformation email or any thing after the sign up process. If I’ve not heard anything by tomorrow morning I’ll give them a call.
