Continuing with my ‘pay it forward’ theory I’ve supported our British wounded soldiers with a £20 donation to Help For Heroes. Help For Heroes supports wounded British soldiers in many ways in the form of grants to 28 organisations to help fund various projects. These rage from a quick reaction fund that helps the armed forces own charities get money to help individuals when needed to rehab services to help wounded soldiers live with their injuries and adjust to life outside the military.
You can see a full list of organisations on the Help for Heroes website.
Help For Heroes has given out over £80 million in grants since it’s creation in October 2007, with more grants approved & waiting funding as well as others still under consideration.
As always I don’t ask you to donate to a charity I havn’t donated to myself, regardless of what I could actually afford to donate. When it comes to charity no donation is ever to small so please visit the Help For Heroes website & donate to help our british wounded soldiers.
Please remember to check the giftaid box so Help For Heroes can reclaim the tax back from the government and add it to your donation, which is far easier than trying to do it yourself.
If you happen to live in the USA make a donation to the Disabled American Veterans fund.
